RECREATION
Parks in
Dobbs Ferry are a popular place for residents to spend time. Both Gould Park and Memorial Park have children’s playgrounds and sports fields and Gould Park offers a swimming facility as well. Marina Park offers scenic views of the Hudson and a marina for boating enthusiasts.
Exercise enthusiasts and those who love the outdoors can walk or bike the
Old Croton Aqueduct Trail that stretches from the Croton Dam and reservoir in
Westchester County all the way to 42nd Street in Manhattan, a distance of 41 miles. Some sections are packed–dirt paths running through a forest, while others are asphalt and concrete streets and sidewalks.
The
Village of Dobbs Ferry provides a variety of recreation options through the
Parks and Recreation Department. Residents can register for arts programs at camps that take place at the Embassy Community Center.
